Welcome to Hotel Dalimil
Hotel Dalimil offers a compelling choice for travelers seeking clean, comfortable, and affordable accommodation in the vibrant Žižkov district of Prague. Located at Prokopovo nám. 2, this three-star hotel blends practical amenities and a warm atmosphere, making it appealing for visitors who prioritize convenience and value.
Guests frequently highlight the hotel's spacious and quiet rooms, which feature simple yet cozy furnishings. The double doors help minimize street noise, creating a peaceful retreat amidst the lively surroundings. Although the décor might not be modern or luxurious, the emphasis on cleanliness and comfort shines through, with beds noted as especially restful. The inclusion of in-room kettles and cups adds a thoughtful, homey touch.
The breakfast experience, while basic, is generally appreciated for its adequacy and reasonable variety. Some guests mention limitations such as average coffee quality, simple bread options, and a small dining area that can become crowded during peak hours. Still, the option to request a packed breakfast for early departures demonstrates considerate service. The on-site restaurant and bar further enhance the stay, offering convenient dining within the premises.
Staff interaction is another key aspect, with many visitors praising the friendly but unobtrusive service. Helpful reception staff provide clear information, contributing to a smooth check-in and overall pleasant stay. However, there have been isolated reports of communication challenges and check-in delays that, while uncommon, are worth noting.
Location remains one of Hotel Dalimil’s strongest appeals. Nestled in a lively hilltop neighborhood famous for its convivial pubs, stunning city views, and the iconic Žižkov TV Tower, the hotel gives guests direct access to authentic Prague culture. Proximity to public transport, including buses and the main train station, ensures easy exploration of Prague’s historic city center and other attractions. Nearby parks, restaurants, and mini markets enrich the neighborhood’s charm, making it ideal for both relaxation and adventure.
For travelers conscious about budget without wanting to compromise on comfort, Hotel Dalimil strikes an effective balance. It might not boast luxury amenities such as a pool or fitness center, nor does it accommodate pets, which makes it particularly suited for solo travelers, couples, or families focused on practical stays. Free Wi-Fi is provided, albeit at modest speeds, supporting essential connectivity needs.
Ultimately, Hotel Dalimil feels like a reliable, down-to-earth option where guests can rest well, enjoy friendly hospitality, and immerse themselves in one of Prague’s most dynamic neighborhoods. It may not impress with extravagance, but its honest value, solid location, and welcoming ambiance make it a worthy pick for those aiming to experience the city with ease and comfort.

Good-sized room and good value at short notice, pleasant light-touch service. It was perhaps let down by the following points just a little, however these did not materially diminish a nice stay: breakfast quality (cheap bad coffee from a machine, something offered seemingly as orange juice which definitely wasn't, the bread could have been better, eggs only available as hard-boiled). Traffic noise on the fifth floor was not really invasive at all. The room was comfortably warm (outside about 0 Dec C) and Wi-Fi speed was actually good. Not bad for a last moment business trip for a loner. Not perhaps ideal for a romantic getaway, as things stand, however this is something the hotel is definitely in a position to improve if they so choose.
Great Hotel with a decent price. Near to the public Transport, Breakfast was OK. Beds are so comfortable with a nice view from the room. Clean and Cozy.
Great little hotel for budget stay. Clean and big enough rooms, kettle and cups included, double doors ensure good enough quietness. Staff is friendly in non intrusive way. Breakfast is basic but good enough. Things to be aware of: - WiFi is free but not very fast. - Simple furnishing. - Breakfast room is small and gets really crowded at peak times. - There might be no tub in the bathroom. - No fridge in the room. - 20-30 min walk to the center but terrain is hilly on the way back. Lots of cheap places to eat and grocery stores nearby though. - Generally this hotel is one of the cheapest in the class however some reviews mention paying a lot. This is a great place for budget stay but not anything fancy.
It's very nice hotel! Rooms are very quiet and clean. Staff was very friendly with us, at reception everything was explained for us. And the great advantage was a cozy patio inside where we could smoke and have a rest.
Very clean and quiet place. Stuff is very polite and helpful. Breakfast is usual and tasty. Hotel is located in beautiful part of Prague close to old Town close to beautiful park.
The big plus is value for money. Comfortable room. The carpets rather weary. Not modern but good enough. The location is great, not far from main bus station. Not far from the city center neither. Bus stop close by and the buses run very often. The neighborhood itself has some minor touristic attractions, several restaurants and many mini markets. The hotel has its own restaurant too. The breakfast was very good except for the coffee and the tea. I imagine everyone will find something they like to eat, whatever their preferences are. We reserved an extra night and the staff did all possible so we can keep the same room. Be aware that last floor rooms are attics, in case you matter. Not an issue for us.
The staff's first move was to speak Russian with me when they saw my Ukrainian passport. I had to say several times that I don't speak Russian, only persistent replying in English worked and they agreed to cooperate. Also, I asked many times to check in before the official check-in time as my boyfriend was very sick and needed a bed. They made us wait like 2 hours first, then when we returned the rooms were not ready although they had promised to make them ready by that time. The rest was fine, the room was very clean.
The hotel is very nice and the rooms are big and comfortable. Breakfast is served at the restaurant that’s below the hotel and it offers many options. If you have to check out and leave before breakfast the hotel gives you one packed out to take with you. I found that very nice and it was good! I definitely recommend it as it’s close to the train station and if you like walking it’s not that far from most of the famous places to visit.
